Things you can do at home

Headmaster's Photography Competition

Over the summer holiday there will be an opportunity for pupils to practise their photographic skills and those lucky enough to be judged winners will see their efforts framed and mounted on the walls of the school. Read on, and be sure to take your camera on holiday with you!

Photographs will be judged in two age groups:

Senior Competition – Years 6, 7 & 8 Junior Competition - Years 3, 4 & 5

Only one entry per person
The photograph you enter must have been taken by you.
You can use either a traditional or a digital camera.
Any subject matter can be entered (e.g. landscape scene, still life, nature, portrait, or abstract).
Photographs should be the standard 6" x 4" size (15 cm x 10 cm) and can be in either portrait or landscape format.
Photographs can be colour or black and white.
Your name, class and House, along with the title of the photograph must be clearly written on the back of the photograph.

Entries to submitted to Mr Crossley on or before September 5th 2008. Judging will take place over the weekend of the 6th & 7th September.

The winner in each age group will have their photograph enlarged, mounted and framed. Their pictures will then be hung in Taverham Hall School, and will also be featured on the school's website so they can be seen by family and friends outside the school.

First, second and third placed entries will also earn points towards the House Competition.
