WORLD SPELLING DAY

Last Thursday the school celebrated World Spelling Day .

Pupils were invited to take part in a world spelling competition, in which they played online spelling games against children from other countries. The competition was fierce, both against pupils from other schools and within our school itself. Each pupil had 48 hours to play 100 games with each game lasting 60 seconds.

The winning form was 4R with 5736 points, closely followed by 6H with 5391 points.

There was great excitement when Yuri Konstantinidis briefly appeared on the World Hall of Fame for spelling, what a great achievement! Read the rest of this entry »

Book Fair

On Tuesday 23rd March, the reading theme continued with a book sale and book activities run by The Norfolk Children’s Book Centre.

This book shop was recently mentioned in the EDP and is run by book enthusiast, Marilyn Brocklehurst.  

The book sale was open all day and many pupils enjoyed browsing through the many titles on display. The day was a great success with workshops and activities.   Read the rest of this entry »

Rock Band Hobby

Every Thursday afternoon the music department is filled with guitar, drumming, keyboards and vocal sounds produced by our Rock Band.

The sessions are led both  by Mr William Drew-Batty and Mr Ross Hamilton and it’s great to feel the ‘vibe’ when walking past! Read the rest of this entry »

Football Hobby

Every Wednesday afternoon our Year 1 – Year 4 children have the opportunity to develop their ball skills during our Football Hobby which is taken by Football in the Community.

Junior Maths Day

Our Head of Maths, Mr Edward Wood, organised for an unusual Maths day to take place on Monday 22nd of March. 

Architecture Workshops from Cambridge visited the school to encourage an enjoyment of Maths and help develop team work through a hands on approach.
