OT Robert Newton in the Cricket Headlines

Old Taverhamian Rob Newton, who played for Taverham Hall School’s U9′s cricket at the age of 6(!), made the sporting headlines on 13th September when he struck his maiden first-class century on a weather-affected first day of the LV= County Championship Division Two match against Leicestershire at Wantage Road.

The 20-year-old smashed 102 off just 116 balls as Northamptonshire recovered from an awful start to post 186 for six at the close of play, with stand-in captain Stephen Peters contributing 55. Read the rest of this entry »

Cancer Awareness Morning

Helen Chapman, Norfolk & Suffolk Fundraising Manager for the Macmillan Cancer Support, visited the school this week . 

Helen spoke to the pupils during their morning assembly about the difficulties facing people diagnosed with cancer and how Macmillan Cancer Support aims to improve the lives of those affected by cancer.
