Whizz, bang, pop art!

The children in the Early Years classes had a sparkling and colourful time creating firework pictures and rockets. Bright colours were carefully selected and an abundance of glitter finished the children’s masterpieces.
Lots of discussion took place based on first-hand experiences. Rafi said her favourite fireworks were at her house and they were all pink. Jack said fireworks explode when they go into the sky and Jayden was quick to inform everyone they make a very big bang.
Emmy used some wonderful vocabulary to describe the sounds fireworks make: “boom, crash and blast”.
Some children commented they didn’t like the loud noises but thought the colours were beautiful and enjoyed watching with their families. We all agreed fireworks are fabulous and some of us are looking forward to the wonderful display at School.
