Taverham Hall Girls and Mums take part in the ‘Race For Life' - 4th May 2008

Six Taverham Hall girls and several mums took part in the annual ‘Race for Life’ at the Norwich Showground.  A hot morning did not deter the girls, namely Helena, Nancy, Charlotte, Victoria, Sacha and Harriet, who, together with their mums and others (a group of 17 in total) ran, jogged and/or walked the 5km course.

Everyone completed the event with times ranging from the early 20 minutes through to under 54 minutes (note to self - must do better!).

Encouraged by Mr Hamilton’s recent achievements in the London and Paris marathons, times were calculated and the result shows that the girls and ladies completed their 2 marathons in around 45 minutes, in comparison to Mr Hamilton’s total of around 8 hours (method of calculation available on request!).

Congratulations to all who participated and many thanks for a job well done in raising a significant amount for Cancer research (the Norwich event aiming for £270,000 in total).
