Pre-Prep Science Week - Friday - Lego Day

Sheila filled the Pre-Prep hall with boxes of Lego and laid out the base for a large town.

Everyone built a house after learning the rules of building which were:
1. Prepare the foundations.
2. Put the first row of rectangular bricks on, leaving space for two doors.
3. Remember to cross each join on the next row with more rectangular bricks.
4. Row three needs some windows. Remember not to put windows or doors in corners.
5. Continue one row at a time, and then row five will secure the windows and doors.
6. Place an extra row to secure your building
7. Make five eaves and place along the top, and then tile the roof.
Once the houses were built the children decided whether to make them into schools, factories, churches or just houses. They were then able to place their buildings in the town and add gardens, cars or even aeroplanes.
