Year 2 children win St. John Ambulance Certificates - 10th June 2008

Some of the children in year 2 have been studying hard to gain a certificate for first aid competence. The course was devised by the St. John Ambulance to give children the knowledge and confidence to deal with emergency situations. The curriculum is extensive and complex and the children have been prepared to attend every Tuesday evening after school in order to complete the course. They, and the school should be very pleased with their efforts and hopefully, though they may never use what they have learned, it may prove the difference between life and death.

On Monday 10th June, Mrs Bunn the area school liaison officer for St. John Ambulance, came to school assembly and presented the following children with their certificates:  Ellie Pitcher, Maisie Cruickshank, Michael Keith, Emily Chapman and Harry Fisher.

Congratulations to them all.
