The Board of Governors is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Jon Perriss as Headmaster of Langley School with effect from 1 September 2019.
Jon is currently Senior Deputy Head at Christ’s Hospital School, Horsham. His previous appointments include teacher of Geography at Norwich School and Housemaster at Tonbridge School, Kent. A former pupil of Exeter School, Jon subsequently gained a Geography BA (Hons) at Swansea University, a PGCE at Southampton University and, more recently, a MEd in Educational Leadership from Buckingham University. He also spent the earlier part of his teaching career in New Zealand and London.
Jon is a keen sportsman, having captained both the Harleston Magpies and East Grinstead 1st XIs; both in the National League. He also coached A team rugby for many years at Tonbridge. He has been a governor of both a Prep school and an ARK academy and maintains a love of the Devon coastline. Jon is married to Charlotte and they have two children aged 15 and 13 years old.
“On behalf of the Board, I am delighted at the appointment of Jon as our next Headmaster. Building on the many successes of Dominic Findlay’s tenure, Jon is the right person to take Langley forward in the years ahead. It is abundantly clear that Jon has the warmth, energy, enthusiasm and strategic vision to lead Langley into its next exciting phase. This appointment signals an important moment for us all. We look forward to welcoming Jon, Charlotte and their children to Langley in the coming months.” Lieutenant Colonel Mark Nicholas MBE
“I am delighted to return to Norfolk as Headmaster of Langley. It is a great privilege to be given the opportunity to build on the excellent progress made in recent years and I look forward to taking this successful, nurturing, inclusive and innovative school to greater heights. Charlotte and I are looking forward to being part of this family centred educational environment as well as the wider Norfolk community.” Mr Jon Perriss
