U11s v Glebe House     LPS@TH 309 – Glebe House 245

We traveled to Glebe House for our U11s final match of the season and certainly saved our best until last! On a glorious day, Captain Ruby won the toss and we decided to field first. Our bowling was strong from the outset but we were a little sloppy in the field to begin with. However, once we switched on, the wickets were falling everywhere, with catches, clean bowled and even a couple of run outs. Everyone contributed with wickets from Maddie, Ruby, Emily, Grace, Edith and Tabitha, but we must also mention Sara for her sharp fielding and Emily for her quick thinking behind the stumps. Witch such a strong first innings, we gave ourselves a modest target to chase of 245.
Our batting started with a massive 6 from Emily, followed by boundaries from Sarah,Tabby and Ruby, and yet again our youngest player hit hard to score 3 boundaries and a 6! However, the girls listened to advice and didn’t lose any silly wickets, and ran away as comfortable winners in an excellent afternoon of cricket. What a great way to end the season… well done girls.

Team: Ruby, Emily, Edith, Sara, Madeline, Milly, Tabitha, Lili-Ella, Grace
