Personal, Social and Health Education

Personal, Social and Health Education has always been part of Taverham Hall School’s life that has been considered vitally important. Quite simply it is what our pupils learn throughout each and every day both at school and at home about themselves and the part they play in the smaller and wider communities they find themselves in.

psheAmong the wide range of topics that will be discussed will be citizenship, friendship, healthy living, safety, personal development, respect for others, study skills and environmental issues. Visiting speakers are seen as an excellent means by which the children learn about a number of issues whilst the school matrons also assist in dealing with sensitive topics.

Science lessons support the sex education element and the local police force aid the school with the delivery of drug education and safety.

We would also like to refer to the school’s PSHE policy which is posted on this website – see Policies.
