During the last week of our Autumn term, all pupils in Years 3 to 5 were involved in the Sumdog Norfolk Maths Contest. With 98 classes across the county taking part, the competition was fierce. Nevertheless, 5 Express were the top performing class on one of the days and there were also notable individual performances, with some completing all 1000 questions. Certificates and commendations have been awarded to these pupils.
Following on, the pupils were offered the opportunity to take part in a national contest during the first week of the holidays. This time there were almost 32,000 pupils who took part nationwide. Thomas T in Year 5 and Zain F in Year 3 completed all 1000 questions, with Thomas finishing well within the top 1 per cent nationally. A great achievement, given it was all happening away from the classroom! #independence
