This week saw the return of the Hall Rock Cafe – the first of two this year. Parents gathered around tables to enjoy coffee and cake with some wonderful live music.
Opening the evening was Mr Hill’s Rock Band, who performed some classics including ‘Smoke on the Water’ and ‘Chasing Cars’, featuring a solo by Danny W.
Year 7 boys James C, Myles M and Joseph G treated us to a debut performance from their newly formed band JMJ, having only had the opportunity for a few rehearsals. I am so looking forward to hearing them again in the near future.
Neat Beatz, our School’s Drum Kit Ensemble, performed ‘Slick Six’ with accuracy and flair – a piece written by our own Mr Davison.
Milo L in Year 8 took to the stage all on his own to sing, ‘Remember Me’, which he had written and recorded. Following that wonderful performance, I am confident that the audience will definitely remember him!
The evening finished off with the Rock Band Hobby who entertained us with a few songs from their extended repertoire. Songs were led by George B, Holly E and Summer N, with a special performance from Georgia and Sofia H, accompanied by Mr Hamilton.
It was truly a night to remember and we can’t wait for the next one!
