Year 3 shared their Christmas spirit in a cracker of a show as they presented a selection of songs, poems and festive jokes to their parents and Year 8 mentors. Highlights included the Elves Choir who sang ‘Winter Wonderland’ and all the jokes hopefully gave everyone a chance to have a Christmas chuckle. ‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas tree’ was a great way to wrap up the show.
We were so proud of all the children and thoroughly enjoyed rehearsing with them.

To close the year, our mentors and mentees from either end of the Prep School met to reflect on their first term together. The event was a wonderful illustration of the success of the School’s family ethos. The pairs reflected on their highlights, their first meeting, the fun that they have had and the times when they have supported one another.

‘On my first night in the boarding house I felt a little bit nervous and was finding it hard to go to sleep so my mentor Arthur came and read stories to me until I fell asleep,’ Adam G

‘I loved playing football against Harvey because I got the ball past him and I won. He didn’t mind though!’ Brett W

‘I just liked my mentor from the first time I met him. He is really fun and really kind,’ Oscar W

‘We have entered the chess tournament together next term. I am really excited!’ Theo C

‘When I fell off the monkey bars Thomas took me to Matron and was really kind to me,’ Leo C

The friendships that have been formed by these children over this initial term have been a real pleasure to watch. Thank you to all those involved in making it such a success.

We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and see you all in 2019!
