U11F v Town Close Score: 2-1
An entertaining match with lots of enthusiasm. Town Close dominated much of the possession during the game but some solid goalkeeping from Archie R and determined defend from Griffin P, kept us in the game. Both of our goals, scored by Ethan, came from fast-counter attacks from our own half. As the game progressed, Town Close had the final word with a well-taken goal in the last play of the game.

U11E v Town Close Score: 3-3
The U11Es had their first game of the season and they played with real spirit and clearly enjoyed themselves. Henri was deadly in front of goal scoring all three goals but he was ably support by Aidan, Jack and Joshua. All of the boys gave it their all and they were unlucky to concede with the last play of the game.

U13E v Gresham’s Score: 1-1
It was a glorious afternoon as LPS@TH U13E&F teams arrived at Gresham’s Senior Astro. Enthused by the sunshine, as if they were solar charged, the Es played first. After a slow start from both teams, eventually Gresham’s broke the stalemate with a well-worked goal. Harrison and Thomas particularly raised their games in response to the goal and we ended the first half strongly but still 1-0 down.
The second half was a lively affair and both teams battled hard. There were some forceful runs and fluid interplay from both teams. At the death and after sustained pressure, Thomas scored the equaliser. Great match and hotly contested.

U13F v Gresham’s Score: 0-4
Having watched the first match, the Fs couldn’t wait to play – and after a energetic warm up, sprung on to the pitch. After the early exchanges, Gresham’s scored a well-finished goal. The second half started with a couple of fine saves from Charlie before the sheer weight of attacking pressure lead to another Gresham’s goal, 2-0. A defensive lapse allowed Gresham’s in for a third but LPS@TH rallied well and finished the match strongly.
