U11cs v Framlingham Prep
A game filled with excitement, excellent fielding, bowling and batting. Framlingham started off well and were able to make the most of our bowl scoring plenty of runs. We managed to take 5 wickets, including one excellent run out by Joshua B. In bat we faced some excellent bowling from Framlingham which cost us early on but some calm batting from Noah T-K steadied the ship. We were still in with a shout in the final over due some excellent work from Toby C, but sadly they kept us at bay in the final over. Framlingham went on to win by 10 runs. 282 against 272.

3rd XI v Town Close
LPS@TH 3rd XI (78 Runs) v Town Close 3rd XI (130 Runs)
LPS@TH 3rd XI played host to Town Close at home under the captaincy of Harrison S.
Playing the 20/20 format of the game LPS@TH won the toss and opted to bowl.
A total of 5 wickets were taken by LPS@TH in the 20 overs bowled. The first was taken after some quick thinking by wicket keeper and Man of the Match Charlie B who stumped the batsmen off the bowling of Harry H. Next Elliott S clean bowled the batsman on the first ball of his over. Archie S joined in, clean bowling another batsman with a fine ball and William N’s bowling yielded two more wickets one again with the help of wicket keeper Charlie B.
Catches were few and far between in the field and Town Close marched on to amass a total of 130 by the end of 20 overs, finding the boundary line 5 times during their innings.
Alex S and Charlie B opened the batting, but struggled to make runs in the early exchanges due to the quality of the opposition’s bowling. Up until the 9th over LPS@TH were just 4 runs behind the opposition score at the same point in their innings but three maiden overs in 4 overs put LPS@TH in a tough spot. The batsmen did their best to increase the run rate looking for every opportunity to steal singles with Charlie B, Harrison S and Charlie H all also making boundaries during their time at the crease. At the end of their innings however LPS@TH were 53 runs short of their target of 131 finishing on 78 for 6.
Man of the Match goes to Charlie B who, despite opening survived until the last over of match (when he was caught in the field) having batted superbly for a score of 15 (top LPS@TH score of the day) not to mention his fine performance behind the stumps as wicket keeper.
Captain Harrison S will be pleased with the team’s overall performance, batting well against a strong opposition bowling attack and taking 5 wickets with their bowling and fielding.
Final Result: LPS@TH 3rd XI (78 for 6 Runs) v Town Close 3rd XI (130 for 5 Runs)
Squad: Harry H, Charlie H, Archie S, Harrison S(c), Elliott S, Edmund H-B, Hugo G, Joseph G, Alex S, Charlie B, William N
