LPS@TH 122-5 (20 overs)
Langley Senior 65-9 (20 overs)
LPS@TH won by 57 runs.
Langley Senior School won the toss and elected to bowl first. They started nicely bowling accurately, restricting our score to a modest 27-2 off 8 overs. However, Nathan and Campbell helped to pick up the scoring with some positive running and strong hitting. Nathan fell in the 15th over for a well made 41. Campbell fell shortly after for 25. Arthur then came to the crease and continued to play positively, scoring a well made 28* to help us reach 122 off our 20 overs.
In reply, Langley Senior School started well, and after 10 overs with the score on 45-1 the game was in their favour. However the game changed when Nathan and Daniel took four quick wickets with some accurate full and straight bowling which changed the game. The Senior School never recovered from this and from then on all bowlers bowled with good accuracy and economically. The game finished with LPS@TH winning by 57 runs and have progressed through to the County Cup final; a great effort and something to look forward to after the Year 8 Leavers’ Wales trip.
